The Sirlitz One-on-One Liloan Selection rallied past Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT)-Firefly Lighting, 84-78, for its third straight win in as many games in the 2007 Liloan Mayor’s Cup basketball tournament at the Liloan Kai Sports Complex.
Sirlitz-Liloan selection head coach Edcel Vallena proudly revealed that his team is purely local boys of Liloan as he did not pick up reinforcements.
Jumel Baribe topped Sirlitz-Liloan with 20 points. Redentor To-ong and Rowen Tagalog chipped in 13 markers apiece as the Liloanons firmed up their grip of the overall lead with an immaculate 3-0 record.
Their previous victims were Athletes for Christ through Evangelical Service (ACES), 69-59, and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) via an 80-79 cliffhanger.
