Ocañada wins silver in dartfest

Winnie Ocañada made sure that Cebuano darters would not go home empty-handed by salvaging second place in the doubles event of the San Carlos-Pinta Flores Darts Tournament in San Carlos City.

Ocañada showed his darting prowess, despite having a rookie partner, by giving eventual winner Dong Allarce (San Carlos City) and his teammate some scary moments in the final.

Other Cebuano darters, Freddie Granada and Ramond Solas finished third in the tournament.

The second and third finishes were good enough for the Cebuanos as none of them could make it to the final round.

After the San Carlos stint, the Cebuanos are getting ready for the Philippine Open set for the middle of November at the SM Megamall.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
