1st CCTC commercial tennis tourney pre-qualifying on today at Baseline

The pre-qualifying round of the 1st Cebu City Tennis Club (CCTC) commercial tournament will blast off today at the Baseline tennis courts along Juana Osmeña Street, this city.

Tournament chairman Richie Bacalso said a total of 21 tennis clubs bannared by host CCTC of Atty. Alfredo Garcia will take part in the five-day contest that will wind up on November 10.

 The other competing clubs are Naga City TC of Mayor Val Chiong, Opon TC of Vic Radaza, La Paloma TC of Mike Balazo, Mandaue TC, Tuburan TC of Titus Tabotabo, Aga-Gising TC, Suson TC, PHO, V & G TC, Mambaling TC, and BIR TC.

Completing the cast of participating squads are Liloan TC, Compostela TC, Cecile TC, ALO, Talisay TC, Pardo TC, Jamestown TC, Southern Islands TC, and VECO.

The tournament features classes A, B and C.

The winners of three-day pre-qualifying round will advance into the final round of 16 that will go up against each other on Saturday starting at 3 pm at the same venue.

Bacalso said cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs for the top two winners in three categories. — EBV
