Jungolf Challenge
I’d like to say that we have a long weekend ahead and an even longer weekend coming, but not for the junior golfers, who will be competing in the 3rd Alta Vista Jungolf Challenge on October 30 and 31.

Entry fee is only P1,800 and already covers the green fee, golf cart, giveaway shirt, raffle, and dinner during the awards night. On top of that, registered participants will also be allowed a free practice round of Monday.
If you know how much it costs to play at Alta Vista on weekends or holidays as a tourist, then you can really say that the tournament entry fee is very cheap.
Even locals and dependents of members would be getting a lot more than what they pay for.

You still have a few days to decide whether you’d allow your child to join the event. If I were you, I won’t have second thoughts.

The 3rd Medico-Legal Golf Tournament is also just around the corner.
There are many reasons why this is a must-join event. The first and the foremost is the fact that proceeds will be for the benefit of the Pediatric Surgical Ward of the
Dr. Rene Rafols, who is at the forefront of this year’s edition of the tournament told me about how the contributions can go a very long way to help the poor patients undergo the needed surgery.
The lawyers of course are also very supportive of the event and I heard that both groups are now doing a massive recruitment campaign for the bragging rights.
The top 15 scores for each profession will be added at the end of the tournament to determine which among the two professions can brag for the next year that they are better than the other.
There will also be prizes for the best golfer for each of the lawyers and doctors based on their net and gross scores.
If you are neither a doctor nor a lawyer and not even necessarily a client or a patient, you are still most welcome to join.
There will be prizes for the top three players based on net scores for the guest division.
Another interesting thing about the tournament is that the entry fee is not fixed. Yes, in fact there will be no entry fee, but players are encouraged to give any amount as their donation for the fund drive.
This does not however mean there won’t be giveaways, food, and raffles. Hope to see you on November 16 then at Alta Vista for this tournament that won’t only allow you to enjoy the company of friends, but also feel good in the end.

Our staff from The Freeman who are now seeking office as councilmen are Gabby Malagar (Mambaling), Garry Lao (Tejero) and Rene Borromeo (Lorega-San Miguel). There is also Ramil Ayuman, who is running for barangay captain of Apas.
