MLSDF subdues UV undertrainees

The M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF)-Mandaue Under-21 selection kept its poise and composure towards the end of the game to hack out a 57-53 victory over the University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers undertrainees in their goodwill encounter the other day at the Brgy. Looc Gym in Mandaue City.

The MLSDF stalwarts of multi-titled coach Eddie B. Ybañez  led by only four points after three quarters, 39-35, but did not give the Visayanians any chance to stage a          turnaround in the windup.

Ronron Cabahug rifled five triples to topscore MLSDF with 15 points followed by Joven “Yao Ming” Cortes with 10 markers. Anjohn Cabahug, Feil Mercader, and Epoy Cabahug also provided sufficient help offensively with 23 points combined.

The game was part of MLSDF-Mandaue’s fine-tuning for the upcoming 1st Cebu Inter-City basketball tournament organized by BAP-SBP Cebu Province director Lorenzo “Chao” C. Sy.
