Samsung, Versacool shoot for solo lead in JBA cagefest
Opening day winners Samsung-Du Ek Sam and Versacool dispute the solo lead in the resumption of the 11th Jaycees Basketball Association (JBA) season today at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The key players of Versacool are aware that Samsung is not an easy customer to deal with because they have to contain the bulky Reeve Jumawan, the sizzling Janjan Boniel and the supporting cast composed of Mike David, Philip Yap, Marlo Monreal, and Niño Boniel, who all have impressive numbers in their 96-90 triumph over RC Goldline.
However, the Versacool stalwarts knew pretty well how to beat Samsung and that is to mount a sold defense aside from counting on the dreaded tandem of Jojo Cruz and Benedict Chua.
Later in the day, Dr. Boy Te and his chargers might have seen enough of what had happened to them last week and it is imperative for Te and his fallen soldiers to rise and reload their armors to be back in contention.
Te hopes to count on Jimbo Noel, Edmund Odulio, Oliver Seno and Joseph Jayme. It might the right time to win, but still Te and company had to sweat it out. (GGM)
