Jockey Wilson shocks Slick Stick
Team Jockey Wilson displayed a never-say-die spirit on the way to grabbing the championship of the 2007 Metro Cebu Darts League at the Baseline Sports and
Jockey Wilson edged the strongest team Slick Stick by the narrowest of margins, 9-8, for the title.
Slick Stick, composed of Allan Veloso, Dick-Dick Ramirez, Steve Montenegro, Dino Bacayo, Jomar Amerol, and Odong Pamatian was just sitting pretty waiting for its final opponent.
In stark contrast, Jockey Wilson, manned by Wayno Ugang, Boy Campogan, Jonathan Rubi, Jerome Perales, Patring Yong and Arnel Guba, had to struggle in the step-ladder action.
From fifth place position, Jockey Wilson worked their way up to meet Slick Stick in the final.
The first leg saw both teams tied at 6-all in the singles competition.
In the second leg, the game ended at 2-all with both Slick Stick and Jockey Wilson refusing to give up.
