SCSIT tries to repeat mastery vs. Carcar in MLKP softball

The Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) hopes to assert its dominance over Carcar Royale when they clash anew in the resumption of the 2nd M.Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Invitational Softball Tournament today at the Ouano ballfield in Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City.

During their previous encounter two weeks ago, SCSIT battered Carcar Royale, 14-3. The Skyblazers utilized just four innings to chalk up their first win in the first round.

This time, Carcar Royale is expected to play better and exact vengeance at SCSIT.

Carcar Royale started the second round with a 10-8 victory over Pusok Selection, 10-8 to even its win-loss record to 2-2.

Not to be outdone, SCSIT hammered out a 12-7 romp of SCSIT to kick off its second round campaign.

Before taking on SCSIT, Carcar is faced with yet another tough challenge when it tangles with M.Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF).

MLSDF also has something else to take care of as it will meet Pusok selection later in the day to settle their unfinished game last Sunday due to the heavy downpour. MLSDF was leading Pusok by a hairline, 1-0.Like MLSDF, Pusok selection will also gear up for a double-header with its first game against Aldritz Liniment.

MLSDF and Pusok currently sport an identical 2-1-1 win-loss-draw cards, while Aldritz stayed winless after five games in the tournament organized by MLSDF executive director Eddie B. Ybañez.

Meanwhile, the juniors division will have one game today featuring Angelic against Paint Works. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
