Techno Tour Amazing Adventure Challenge to highlight Cebu Business Month

In line with this year’s celebration of Cebu Business Month, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will organize an adventure race on June 23 dubbed as the “TechnoTour Amazing Adventure Challenge (TAAC).

The one-day race, which will cover Cebu City, Danao and Mactan, offers the kind of thrill, fun and challenge which adventure races are giving.

The event is open to all IT-connected companies engaged in the development procedures related to Business Processes Outsourcing (BPO).

Any employee of qualified companies, 18 years old and above and capable of performing physical activities as determined by the race organizers are eligible to participate.

TAAC has the features of today’s popular team races modified by the use of communication technology.

It will be competition of teamwork, accuracy and speed. However, wits and decision making are the pre-requisites to win the race.

There will be set time lines from one control point to another wherein activities, games and trivia are in store at each control point for the team to perform.

Participants will be using today’s technology like mobile phones and laptops with internet in order to get clues and trivia to proceed to the next activity.

Over 30 teams of four persons each are expected to join the competition. The racers shall secure their own four-wheel vehicle and gadgets needed for the race.

The event is presented by CBM 2007 in cooperation with the Cebu City Government, Cebu Provincial Government, Cebu Pacific Air, Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, ABS-CBN and Cebu Holdings Inc., (CHI).

Felix Taguiam is the head of the CBM Sports Committee, while Francis Dy leads the TechnoTour Amazing Adventure Challenge.

Maharlika Artists and Writers’ Federation is the IT and print promotions partner of TAAC.
