RCAF pummeled Heart Vit-Red, 97-92, in the 30-above class of the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA) 2007 Summer Basketball League at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Punta Princesa, this city.

Heart Vit-Red jumped off to a hot start, taking away a six-point lead, 30-24 in the initial period. Thanks to the diminutive Resty Getubig, who unleashed 19 of his 22-point mark that include five triples.

However, RCAF turned the tables in the second canto with tough defense and better production to overcome the deficit.

As the battle entered into the second half, RCAF led by Rocky Bacalso was already enjoying a 14-point advantage.

Heart Vit-Red tried to get back, but could only do as much in tying the ballgame, but never getting the lead again.

Tension from both camps subsided when Benjie Orquez delivered back-to-back undergoal shots that pave the way for RCAF’s fourth victory.

On the other hand, Samsung TV Makers hurt Philmetal further down with an 86-78 beating.

Five Samsung dribblers managed to score in double digits led by James Loyd Noel with 20 points while Alix Bernaldez led Philmetal with 23 points on a losing effort.
