Getaruelas, Enriquez rule Run For Your Heart

Leizel Lumindas-Getaruelas added another trophy to her collection after ruling the women’s division of the Run For Your Heart as Riez Enriquez dominated the men’s crown in the race which started and ended at the Cebu Doctor’s University gym yesterday.
Getaruelas had a walk in park victory, finishing the 10-kilometer run in 34 minutes and 41.82 seconds.
Mary Jane Beboso of Lapu-Lapu City ended second in 34:47.05, Joeyry Ann Lee came was third in 36:52.57, Merlita Arias was fourth in 36:53.12 and Madelyn Carter was fifth in 38:52.82.
In the men’s side, Enriquez of University of Southern Philippines Foundation is back on top after several runner-up finishes as he managed to push himself to cross the finish line ahead of Adonis Singson.
Enriquez clocked 28:45.85 nipping Singson, who had 28:54.25.
Joel Delposo of Badian was third in 29:00.13.
In the executive division, Boy Nemenio came out the fastest in 30:56.98 while Alex Panganiban wound up second in 32:58.85 and Gerry Garcia was at third in 33:01.43.
In the women’s executive class, Marrisa Duroy took the top post in 55:05.44 over Carmelita Gacasan in 55:31.45. Josie Vergara was third in 59:14.25.
The doctor’s race, also set at 10K saw Dr. Potenciano "Yong" Larrazabal collecting another champion’s trophy with a time of 40:32.89, outsmarting Dr. Glenn Cang, who ended with 42:18.10 and Dr. Brian Canton for third with 45:25.73. Dr. Nicole Chua was unopposed in the women’s class.
The celebrity guest that was kept secret before the race turned out to be Senatorial aspirant Cesar "Buboy" Montano, who gamely ran for an estimated half kilometer with some mountainbikers, joggers and several cars and a bus behind him.  Caecent No-ot-Magsumbol
