The first casualty will be soccer as only seven regions signified its intention to field a team, though host Iloilo is pushing for its inclusion even if it will only be a demonstration event.
The other sporting events to be featured in the final battle are men's baseball, women's softball, men and women's basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton, chess, karate-do, table tennis, taekwondo, athletics and swimming.
There will be no dancesport in the week-long event while the inclusion of the academic and cultural contests is still being finalized.
The deadline for confirmation of entries in the different sporting event as well as the Mutya ng PRISAA will be on March 15.
So far, a total of eight regions have already sent feelers to field a bet in the beauty and brains contest.
