Nike Elite Camp-Cebu sets deadline for entries Jan 10

The submission of the list of qualified athletes for the Nike Elite Basketball Camp will only be until January 10 at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit athletic office, said Cebu coordinator Ramel Rasmo.

The tryouts, to be conducted by coach Eric Altamirano and San Beda high school coach Ato Badolato, will be conducted on January 28 at the SHS gym.

Rasmo is urging all high school coaches to take note of the deadline because those qualified are yet to undergo screening by coaches Roland Remedio of USC and Al Solis of UV.

Remedio, Camilo Go of USP-F and Ancing Anciado of SHS are fielding in six players each for the tryouts while Reggie Licanda of UC has three.

Those who will be chosen from Cebu will be brought to the Elite Camp in Mamplasan, Laguna from March 30 to April 4. They will be given free Nike outfits including shoes and jerseys.

The Nike Elite Camp director is Alex Compton.

Aside from Altmirano and Adolato, former NBA player David Wood will also assist in the tryouts in Laguna where the deserving players will be chosen to form the All-Star teams.
