Slimmer's rules maiden BOYBA caging

The Slimmer's blasted Tan Kim Ching, 62-56, to win the first ever championship of the Between Old and Young Basketball Association (BOYBA) tournament last Tuesday at the Capitol Parish Gym.
Marvin Padilla showed the way for Slimmer's with 16 points followed by Ayn Latonio with 13 markers. Tan Kim Ching led in the early going, but Slimmer's rallied to forge a 24-all deadlock at halftime.
Slimmer's kept its poise and composure until the closing second of the game to fluster Tan Kim Ching at the final buzzer.
Earlier, the MD's of Dr. Marlon Oclarence drubbed the Equalizer, 80-66, to lift the third place trophy behind a scintillating 23-point show by Jose Bargayo. Randal Prado and Wiljohn Alarde heavily backed up Bargayo with 20 points apiece.
