Canasa, Team Kalit win RCM November honors

Junjun Canasa of Team Kalit bagged the November edition of the Road Cyclist of the Month at the Mandaue City Reclamation area.

Canasa's victory came out even sweeter since aside from winning the monthly battle, he also led his team to the overall championship trophy as well.

Canasa dominated the 15-lap race last Saturday against Rut Machine Shop's Orlan Toring while Gwaping's Michael Pantonial came out third.

Spark Kleen had the 4-5 finish through Roy Carbonera and Ian Colina.

In the overall standing, Canasa, who already has an RCM title a few months ago, reigned again after collecting a total of 60 points in the November series.

Leading Road Cyclist of the Year, Xerox Lauron of Spark Kleen missed the award after ending with 46 points as teammate Roy Carbonera wound up third with 43 points.

In the overall team classification, Kalit reigned with 143 points as against Spark Kleen's 118 points.

The third to fifth placers in the team standings were Rut Machine Shop with 71 points, Gwapings with 62 points and the Social Climbers with 46 points in the event sponsored by Spark Kleen laundry powder, Vellum, Al Figer, Glenn Rasco, Independent Fabrication and Pinoybikes.com.
