The Crown Paddle-University of Cebu squad will depart for Bacolod City today for the 2006 LOPTTA Invitational Table Tennis Championships to be held at the Lopue Annex.
Crown Paddle-UC, which is lead by multi-titled coach Jessica Jawad-Honoridez, is composed of the Motel siblings-Michael, Emmanuel and Mary Grace along with Jay Impuesto, Jean Phillippe Honoridez, John Paul Baay and Elona and Dannel Jay Tormis.
Another Cebu-based squad, Hua Ching Foundation, also is reportedly competing.
Honoridez is confident that her wards, who are supported by Osaka Iridology CEO Jonathan Guardo, will be able to improve their third place finish last year.
Honoridez is also excited for her younger wards, who will be seeing action in the debut of the mixed 12-under and 10-under division.
The Cebuanos will be battling for the top honors against some former and current members of the national team, among others.
