Solon parred all of the first eight holes of the course before knocking in a birdie 4 on the par-5 9th. He again made pars from the 10th to the 13th, but had trouble on the downhill par-4 14th where he made a bogey to go back to even par. He birdied the par-5 16th to go back to under par then closed with two more pars to take the lowest gross plum.
Aliño finished with a gross score of 76 strokes on nines of 37 and 39 less his handicap of 11 gave him a net 65. He pulled past Antonio 'Loloy' Sabuga in the countback to win the lowest net plum for the premiere handicap class. Sabuga, who had 41 strokes on the back nine after a 35 on the front, settled for the runner-up honors.
The lowest gross honors for class B went to Aniano 'Deo' Gabasa, who shot three-over-par 75 strokes on nines of 37 and 38.
Rolando Alberto, who recently aced hole No. 13 of the course, bagged the lowest net honors with 63 strokes off a gross 76. Runner-up honors went to Gerry Quintos with a net score of 64 strokes off a gross 79.
In class C, Rene Piano played beautiful music at the golf course shooting 80 strokes off nines of 41 and 39 to run away with the lowest gross award.
The lowest net honors for class C went to Antonio de Jesus, Jr. with 62 strokes while Richard Li took the runner-up plum with his net score of 64.
The seniors' division title went to Virgilio Chua with a net score of 65 strokes.
In the jungolf division, Gio Gandiongco emerged victorious with a net score of 69 strokes off a gross score of 75.
Special awards went to Jung Yeon Hu for nearest the pin and Ben Yu for the most accurate drive. Sponsors of the tournament were Mario King of Skygo and Nestor Mendoza.-NLQ
