Second Alta Vista Junior Golf Challenge set October 30-31

-
The 2nd Alta Vista Junior Golf Challenge tees off on October 30 and 31 at the club's rolling layout on the hills of Pardo, this city.

The tournament is open to all junior golfers from various parts of the country.

Entry fee is pegged at P1,500 for non-members of the club and P1,000 for the members. The fee covers the green fee, insurance, golf cart, caddie, giveaways, awarding dinner, and raffles.

Participants will be allowed to a free practice round on the 29th.

There will be five categories to be contested based on the ages of the participants.

Last year, close to 70 players took part in the event. The participants came from Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club, Del Monte Golf Club, Cebu Country Club, Riviera Golf and Country Club, Eagle Ridge, Iligan Golf Club, Valley Golf, and players from the host club.

The organizers hope to match, if not surpass the number this year.

The chairman of this year's tournament is Joseph 'Opep' Gandiongco with victor Gocela, Deo Gabasa and AVGCC GM Tessa Ozoa as members. - NLQ
