8th Godwin chessfest set Oct. 15

The 8th Godwin Kiddies Open Chess Tournament takes place this Sunday at 10 am at the Bibo Chess Club along D. Jakosalem Steet (behind the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral).

Following the traditional 7-round Swiss system format, the competition is open to kids aged 14 years old and below and must be born on year 1992.

The champion will receive P700, while the second to fifth placer will pocket P500, P300, P200, and P100.

Registration fee is pegged at P40 per player.
