Team Cebu City-Football may not have won the championship trophy in the recently-concluded Visayas Under-19 Football Championships, but some Cebuanos were picked to reinforce Visayas champion Negros Oriental Football Association (NORFA) in the National Men's Under-19 Football Championship next month in Zamboanga City.
TCC-Football coach Francis Ramirez confirmed the inclusion of four Cebuanos to the team, which will see action in the national finals.
The five named to reinforce the Dumaguete City-based NORFA are Jessie Melgo of the University of Cebu, Michael Sharpe of the Cebu International School, Rommel Cortes of Abellana National School and Paolo Pascual of Springdale.
NORFA is hoping that the players invited will join them and add up strength to their bid in the National finals against best under-19 football squads from all over the country.
Ramirez is also expected to accompany the Cebuano players.
Aside from NORFA, the Iloilo Football Association is also representing the Visayas region after beating Negros Occidental.
