Team Cebu City will go home empty handed as it dropped all its three assignments even as Negros Oriental Football Association (NORFA) and Iloilo grabbed the slots to represent the Visayas region in the Men's 19-Under National Football Championships in Zamboanga City next month.
The Cebu bets bowed to Negros Oriental, 5-2, yesterday to finish at the cellar in the Visayas championships which wound up at the West Negros College football field in Bacolod City.
Negros Oriental had a rousing start, zooming ahead with four goals to leave Cebu behind in the first half.
Jovanni Mamac logged in the first score for NORFA with only two minutes in the game and Michael Dev Tulang added another one for NORFA in the 14th minute.
Two more goals followed for NORFA courtesy of Patrick Millan and it was followed with another goal from Tulang four minutes after Millan's goal.
It was only in the 54th minute that Cebu found its mark courtesy of Roy Jose Sembrano.
But NORFA was not about to give TCC some breathing space with Patrick Millan taking another goal, his second and his team's last point.
Then NORFA allowed Michael Sharpe of TCC to score in the last minute, knowing the win is already in the bag.
NORFA gets the ticket to Zamboanga along with the no.2 team, the Iloilo Football Association, which blanked Negros Occidental in the other game yesterday.
