UC Chancellor's Cup opens at SM Bowling Center

The University of Cebu administration and faculty opens its 8th Chancellor's Cup Bowling Tournament today at the SM Bowling Center with close to 30 teams vying for the championship crown.

Competing in the men's category are UC Administration 1 coming from the different offices, UC Administration 2 (Registrar's department), UC Alumni, UC-Lapu-lapu-Mandaue, Cebu Technological Sciences-College (CTS-C), UC-METC 1 and 2, Engineering A and B, UC-Banilad, and the different faculty members from the High School, Education, Commerce, Computer Science departments.

The contenders in the women's division are Administration 1 and 2, UC-METC, UC-LM, UC-Banilad and the faculties from the Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Commerce, High School and Elementary departments.

Defending champion UC-METC men's team hopes to retain its title.

In the program today, Atty. Augusto W. Go, UC President, will personally declare open the Chancellor's Cup. He will be assisted by UC chancellor Candice Gotianuy.

Atty. Paulino Yabao is the chairman of the Cup and Bernard Ricablanca is the coordinator. They are both in-charge of the Technical Committee.

The Opening Ceremonies will start at 10:00 in the morning and the matches will culminate on October 7 at the SM Bowling Center. - Correspondent Marigold P. Lebumfacil
