City Olympics tertiary action to go on

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -
The tertiary action of the 16th Cebu City Olympics will push through as scheduled on November 18 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

This was the consensus arrived at by the different athletic directors of the participating colleges and universities in a meeting called on by Cebu City Councilor Jocelyn Pesquera, the City council's committee chairperson on education which is task to oversee the CCO affairs.

Representatives of University of Cebu, Cebu Technological School, Cebu Doctors' University, St.Theresa's College, Salazar Institute of Technology, Southwestern University, University of Southern Philippines-Foundation, University of San Carlos, and Don Bosco College all signified their interest to join the competition.

Among the sports events that will be cancelled due to lack of entries are arnis, softball and boxing.

The elementary and secondary divisions of the Cebu City Olympics are primarily the City's division meet preparatory for the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA).

The tertiary level, on the other hand, is a culminating activity for the intramural champions of the different schools in the City.

With that, no under trainees or varsity players will be allowed to compete in the multi-sport gathering.
