Lagman leads winners in Milo tennis

Internationalist tennis player Jacob Lagman of St. Benedict ruled the boys singles for the elementary division while lesser known Kimberly Uitico of Carcar ruled the girls singles of the 11th Milo Little Olympics tennis competition at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club courts.

Lagman defeated Niño Marie Baylosis of University of San Carlos-South Campus, 8-1, while Uitico won over Louise Quirubin of St. Alfonsos Catholic School, 8-4.

In the boys doubles elementary division, University of San Jose Recoletos grabbed the championship crown over Pardo Elementary School while University of San Carlos-South Campus nailed down Banilad Elementary School, 8-0, for the girls crown.

University of the Visayas' Francis Largo and USC's Lowell Cañete will fight in the semi-final round as well as UV's Larry Antigua against Julius Lagman of SHS-J.

In the secondary girls category, Melle Doroy of Tagbilaran City will have a semi-final encounter against USJ-R's Maria Rosario Gelbolingo.

Kimberly Treager of USC will fight against Julie Ann Jopia of UV.
