Two teams share lead in Corn Tee

After some recomputing was done yesterday, the leaderboard of the 9th Corn Tee Invitational Golf Tournament saw some changes.
Two teams are now tied for the lead after the first round with scores of 116 points in this three-man team event mainly backed by San Miguel Corporation.
The team of Alvin Alazas (42), Erwin Siao (38), and Francis Dy (36) is tied for the lead with the team of Ben Tio Peng Seng (37), Tony Sikimhua (37), and Peter Yang (42).
Two teams are tied one point behind the leaders with 115 points each.
These are the teams of Jun Zosa (36), Alex Garcia (42), and Bobby Barria (37) and the squad of Rudy Lizares (33), Gassy Lizares (45), and Jonji Chiongbian (35).
Tied for the fifth spot with 112 points each are the teams of Ricarte Santos (44), Marlou Velasquez (35), and Masaya Hishida (33) and that of Ramon Sebastian (35), Fernando Mondares (37), and Olin Seno (40).
Gassy Lizares leads the individual performers with his 45 points followed by Ricrate Santos with 44 and Dr. Tony San Juan with 43.
Four people shot 42 points each - Alvin Alazas, Abel de Manuel, Alex Garcia, and Peter Yang. Four others shot 41 apiece - John P. Young, Mario Bancale, Tony Amor, and Butch Macachor.
No ace has yet been reported after two rounds.
Santos, who is the overall chairman of the tournament said that heavy traffic is expected at the golf course today due to the number of players that are scheduled to play this weekend.
At stake for a hole-in-one are a Toyota Altis from Toyota Cebu City on holes No. 8 and 17. The other hole-in-one prizes, which are at stake on all holes, are a Privacy car from Norkis Automotive Resource, a Cebu-Dubai-Cebu ticket from Qatar Airways, and a Cebu-Hong Kong-Cebu ticket from Philippine Airlines.
Casino Filipino is the Diamond Sponsor of this event while Cebu Mitsumi, Duros Development Corp., Newtrends International Corp., and Profood International Corp. are the Gold Sponsors.
