Fuentes eyes yellow jersey in August RECYCLE series

Another bet from Lapu-Lapu-RUT Machine Shop is on the course to take the yellow jersey as he leads the Road Cyclist of the Month of August.
Edgar Fuentes currently stands with 56 points after dominating last Saturday's action at the Mandaue City reclamation area. He also placed sixth in the climb in Busay last Sunday.
Fuentes stands with an 18-point advantage over closest pursuer, Roy Carbonera of Nashbar, who has 38 points going into the penultimate leg.
Last Sunday's top rider, Ramsey Villaver now stands at third place with 36 points while last month's RCM awardee Orlan Toring, Ricky Ermitanio and Ciano Dignos are sharing the fourth spot with identical 35 points.
Johann Ermitanio is at fifth place with 33.
In the battle of the teams, Lapu-Lapu-RUT is going for a back-to-back victory in the overall standings after collecting 109 points after three legs.
Nashbar is at second with 64 points while Kalit is at third spot with 62 points.
