Lagman rules Olivares Cup

Cebuano Jacob Lagman is back strong after a long hiatus to win the 2006 Olivarez Cup Age-Group Tennis at the Olivarez Sports Tennis Center in Paranaque yesterday.
Lagman ruled the boys' 12-under class.
The no.1 boys' 12 under tennister from St.Benedict Childhood Education Center, Lagman opened his bid with a sweet victory against the 5'5 Alsayyah Alwaleed from Saudi Arabia, 6-4, 6-1.
Riding high with the victory, Lagman, who is sponsored by Head and Julie's Bakeshop through Bob and Janeth Gandionco, went on win his next two assignments to get into the final round.
Against Manila Polo Club's Rafael Squillantini, Lagman posted a 6-2, 6-0 win and it was followed by a 7-5, 6-0 scoring over Juan Alfonso Opulencia.
In the championship battle, Lagman drubbed Arjohn dela Cruz, 6-2, 6-1.
