Banibane tops CEPCA chess

Miguel Banibane, Jr. emerged the top ranked player in the latest outing of the Cebu Executives and Professional Chess Association (CEPCA) Monthly Chess Tournament at Bibo Chess Club the other day.
Banibane managed to hang on and settled with a draw with Harrison Chua in the fifth and last round that utilized for an opening.
He ended the action with 4.5 points.
On the other hand, Fabio Abucejo's victory against Jessa Balbona placed him at second place with four points and 15.5 Bucholz while Ben Sanchez ended third with his four points and 15.5 Bucholz.
Mandy Baria was fourth place with 3.5 points and 12.5 Bucholz as Harrison Chua wound up fifth place with 3.5 points and 12 Bucholz.
Maggi Dionson was sixth with 3.5 points and 11.5 Bucholz.
