Three Cebuano lifters endorsed to RP squad

Three Cebuano weightlifters were endorsed by the National coaching staff to the Board of directors of the Philippine Weightlifting Association, Inc. (PWAI) for inclusion to the RP squad even as five other Cebu talents retained their slots with the training pool.

The three Cebuanos recommended to the elite squad are Kelle Kaye Rojas and Joselito Padilla of AIS and University of Cebu and Jefferson Quirubin of the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

The three was recommended by the RP coaching staff after their impressive performances in their respective categories in the series of try-outs held in various places here in the country.

The rest of the recommended athletes were University of the East's Edrou Cardano, Zamboanga's Ronald Colonia, Jainie Mendoza and Jaymark Perez, Bohol's Martin Patiño and Julie Ann Dumandan, Philippine Army's Ellie Perez, and DLSU's Richard Pep Agusto.

On the other hand, five other Cebuanos retain their slots. They are Emelie Rosas, Evan Gicain, Ester Cabasura, Christopher Bureros and Reynante Briones.

Cebuanos Daniel Catingug and Elma Bacaro left the RP squad to favor their jobs while Alvin delos Santos will now be serving as an assistant coach.

The rest of the RP line-up includes Haidelyn Diaz of Zamboanga, Cecelia Atillano and Jomar Napoloreyes and Bohol's Joseph Libres while Hansley Casili and Alfonsito Aldenete are making an excuse from the RP squad due to their training in the Philippine Navy and Army, respectively.
