Desosa, Yap keep winning run

Alde Desosa and Mar John Yap, two medal winners in the First Philippine Olympic Boxing Festival continued to pounce on and scored back-to-back victories in the Amateur Boxing Challenge at the Daz Public Plaza in Lutopan, Toledo City.
This time, it was Yap who scored a referee-stop-contest decision due to outclass over Philippine-Australian Gym's Aljeard Tuñacao, 53 seconds in the third round of the 51kgs class.
Desosa, on the other hand, silenced Alfredo Colina, 3-0, in the 60kgs class.
But the Phil-Australia did not go home empty handed as it collected three wins, with the victories coming from Lloyd Semblante in the 24kgs class, Jason Tuñacao in the 28kgs class and Edmar Tuñacao in the 48kgs class.
KJ Pelayo also joined the winners' circle after winning the 32kgs class bout along with Maguikay's Eddie Boy Abiar and Gerald Suico in the 34kgs class, Charlie Todtod and Pedro Sulondro in the 54kgs class, and Rey Villar and Darryl Pucdol in the 51kgs division. - Caecent O. No-ot
