Miñoza, Omaña headline Lutopan amateur boxing

National amateur boxing champions Joseph Von Miñoza and Joseph Omaña will climb the ring tomorrow to headline the Amateur Boxing Challenge at the Daz Public Plaza in Lutopan, Toledo City.
Both from Talamban National High School, Miñoza and Omaña will be suiting up in the pro-am division in preparation for their shift from the amateur ranks to the tough and challenging professional boxing.
Miñoza, a Palarong Pambansa champion, will trade punches against Rex Malibago of Ilo-ilo City in the 51-kilogram division while Omaña sees action against Roland Ecunas of Mandaue City.
The two pro-am bouts will be ushered in by 11 other amateur boxing matches featuring pugilists from different schools and boxing clubs here in the Philippines.
Among the boxers, who will be seeing action are Rey Villar of Sultan Kudarat and Mar John Yap of Cagayan de Oro City.
Villar will meet Don Don Gesta of Pakna-an, Mandaue City while Yap is penciled to trade mitts against Edmar Tuñacao of the Philippine-Australian Boxing Club. Both are in the 51kg division.
The other matches on tap are Lloyd Semblante of the Phil-Aus Boxing Club against Ardie Boyose of Tejero Elementary School (26kg), Marlou Tobis of MCCNHS against Jason Tuñacao of Phil-Aus (28kg), KJ Pelayof Talamban NHS against Erwin San Roque of Banilad ES (32kg), Dann Lou Codilla of Talamban NHS against Eddie Boy Abiar of Maguikay (32kg).
Gerald Suico of Maguikay against Joseph Capangpangan of the Phil-Aus (34kg), Charlie Todtod of Consolacion against Gaspar Cabahug of Pakna-an (54kg).
