ATC jins rule New Face of the Year taekwondo tilt

The Avenger's Taekwondo Center (ATC) emerged as the overall champion in the 2006 Regional New Face of the Year Taekwondo Championships recently at the Cebu Doctors' University gym.
The Avenger Alob-trained ATC jins collected a total of 58 points coming from five golds, six silvers and five bronzes to win the title.
Don Vicente Rama Elementary and High School Taekwondo Club finished second, while Glenn's Taekwondo Club wound up third.
Over 200 jins from 17 teams joined the battle, but it's the fight between Zachary Salver and Patrick Keith Nacorda which turned out to the most applauded one.
The two-five-year old boys, according to Cebu City Sports Commission taekwondo director Tony del Prado, performed like seasoned veterans.
Meanwhile, a total of 80 youngsters completed their basic taekwondo course in the Mayor Tommy Osmeña Taekwondo Clinic.
The clinic ended last Saturday at the Guadalupe Sports Complex with Prado and CCSC executive director Gene Faelnar gracing the affair.
