Mixed martial arts on June 24 at Cebu Coliseum

The organizers of the "Only Strong Survive Part 4" mixed martial arts showdown assured of a more exciting and bloody bouts between top martial artists of Cebu and Dumaguete on June 24 at Cebu Coliseum.

In yesterday's press conference at FORMO bar in Banilad Town Centre, Mixed Martial Arts Entertainment Inc. general manager Dino Tormis said a total of 10 "bloody" bouts will be showcased, with the top bets of the Cebu City-based Kumjukai taking on the visiting combatants from Negros Oriental.

"Cebuanos shouldn't miss this event because this is our fourth edition and for the first time, the undefeated fighters from Cebu and Dumaguete will be slugging it out so practically it's a battle of Cebu warriors against their Dumaguete counterparts," said Tormis.

A must-see is the main clash between Rannie Ballesta of Cebu's Kumjukai and Paul Gutierrez, an elite fighter from Dumaguete City. Ballesta was a champion in the second edition.

Glen Sumanoy, the URCC undefeated champion, will be the special referee in the main attraction pitting Ballesta and Gutierrez.

There are five clubs joining the mixed martial arts competition namely Negros Top Team, Durex dragon, Kumjukai, CMAC Bullet, and C -MAC main.

Among the top Dumaguete mixed martial artists are Miguel Antonio Gonzales and Dennis Retadam, while the Cebu squad includes Hilario Ignacio of Kumjukai Cebu and Jason Juguite of Durex Dragon.

The tournament is also supported by Globe, Touch Mobile, San Miguel Magnolia, Powerade, Hero, Star margarine.

Tickets pegged at P300, P200, P100 and P50.
