Two teams share lead

- NIMROD NL QUIÑONES -
Two teams share the lead after a wet opening day of The View Invitational 2006 at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club yesterday.

Sharing the top spot are the teams of Nobuyoshi Motegi and Seiji Watanabe and Lino Dagus and Rio Lao with even-par 72 points apiece.

The tournament, which is the club's annual signature member-guest event, will run until Sunday with the teams set to play two rounds each. Motegi scored 38 while Watanabe had 34 in the Modified Stableford Scoring System. Dagus, for his part, shot 39 and Lao had 33.

The scoring format awards five points for a net double-eagle and an ace, four for an eagle, three for birdie, two for par, and one for bogey.
