Clarence Tiu grabs CIFYA singles title

Clarence Tiu of Team Tiu Gan ran away with the singles title in the 23rd Cebu Inter-Family Youth Association (CIFYA) Inter-Family Bowling Tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.

Tiu outsmarted Leong Tek A's Jun-jun Gothong for the top as he toppled 1,193 pins.

Gothong had 1,179 pinfalls.

Clark Tiu also of Tiu Gan added glitter to his team's bid after settling third with 1,161 pinfalls while Nat Go also of Leong Tek A ended fourth with 1,150 pinfalls.

The fifth to 10th placers are Leong Tek A's Docdoc Gothong (1149), Yap Fraternity's Jake Yap (1101), Kang Ha A's Jaime Uy (1080), Sebastian Yap also of Yap Fraternity (1062), Kang Ha-A's Kim Ng (1052) and Kang Ha-B's Ben Uy with 1,049 pinfalls.

After the single's competition comes the doubles event today until the fifth of this month.

The team event, on the other hand, will be on May 10-12 and the master's event on May 17.
