Gullas Tennis Cup presscon tomorrow

The organizers of the Gullas Tennis Cup are calling for a press conference tomorrow at the office of University of the Visayas executive vice president Jose "Dodong" R. Gullas.

Gullas, who previously served as Cebu First District Representative, will preside over the news conference scheduled at 10:30 am.

The Gullas Tennis Cup, an annual undertaking sponsored by the sports-loving Gullas Family, is held every summer at the Cebu Country Club tennis courts in Brgy. Banilad.

For years, the Gullas Tennis Cup has been an avenue not only for the promising Cebuano netters, but also for the country's top racquet-wielders to further hone up their skills and make waves in the international circuit.

Being a Group 2 Philippine Lawn Tennis Association (PHILTA)-sanctioned event, the winners will not only win trophies and special prizes, but also earn points needed for their individual rankings.

Among the categories to be contested in the biggest junior event in the Visayas are the 10-under unisex, boys and girls 12, 14, and 18-under.

All the participants will receive t-shirts. Expected to join the five-day tilt are players from Cebu, Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Bohol, Bais, Iligan, Davao, Bacolod, Butuan, Dipolog, Bukidnon, and Misamis Oriental.
