Six netters drubbed their respective opponents yesterday to secure a semifinal berth in the "Atan Guardo Junior Tennis Cup" at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Cub tennis courts.

The semifinal cast in the boys' 12 under is complete with Carlo Ledesma set to meet Nash Tabotabo while the other match will have Ariel Jay Torion battling out against Ken Ayuda.

Ledesma advanced to the next round after silencing Harvey Suculan, 6-1, 6-1 while Torion defeated Christian Repunte, 6-0, 6-2.

Ayuda, for his part, had to exert more effort before kicking away Bryan Mangapis, 6-2, 2-6 (10-6).

On the other hand, Lovelie Soquino is now a step away from winning the girls' 21-under class title after overpowering Stephanie Vasquez, 6-2, 6-3.

Soquino is waiting for her semifinal opponent, which is the winner between Floreza Alesna and Nikki Do.

Joining Soquino in the penultimate round is Nely Jane Villarico after she pulling a win against Prisah Clarito via a tie break, 6-0, 2-6 (10-5).

James Karl Cañete and Larry Antigua steps into the quarter-finals of the boys' 21-under after silencing Jude Carba, 6-1, 6-2 and Kevin Rocamora, 7-5, 6-4, respectively.

In the other boys' 21-under action, Maasin's Ryan Montalbo kept his bid alive after dumping Lyndel Capangpangan, 6-1, 6-2, to face seeded no.2 Jason Pinote in the round of 16.
