J&B faces Pipeline in PPSA cage final

J & B and Pipeline beat separate foes to set up a final showdown in the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA)-organized Lourdes Fiesta Cup 2006 basketball tournament at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym.

Unlike in its previous assignments, J & B had to deal a tough game against Loctite Super Glue before grabbing a 95-88 victory.

Loctite of coach Danny Duran posted a 10-point lead early in the fourth period, but J & B suddenly regained its composure behind ex-M.Lhuillier stalwart Michael Dumdum, who fired 10 of his 15 points in the closing minutes of the game to complete the big turnaround.

In the main game, Pipeline booked the remaining championship ticket after outlasting VRJ Engineering, 90-85.
