VRJ, Pipeline score wins in Lourdes Cup caging

VRJ Engineering remained at second place in the team standings after outsmarting DJD Engineering, 108-105, in the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA) Lourdes Fiesta Cup 2006 at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym.

Both team played well in the first three-quarter and entered the final canto with a deadlock at 82-all.

However, former PBA import and M. Lhuillier mainstay Daryl Smith and former Wildcat Andy Fuentes combined their efforts to give VRJ its win.

In the main game, Pipeline Resto Bar of Reeve Jumawan won over Loctite Super Glue, 110-95.

But the Gluemakers of coach Danny Duran were hardly affected by it as they still remain in the top four list for the crossover.

Aries Jayme led Pipeline with 16 points as seven other teammates also scored in double-digit marks while the losing Loctite saw Ralph Bruzon spearheading his team with 20 points.
