CABA opens Summer League

The Cebu Athletic Basketball Association (CABA) formally opened its Summer League at the San Nicolas Sports Complex with the Red team's Sugar Calimbo named as the best muse.
Calimbo, a first year Nursing student of Cebu Doctor's University, bested seven other candidates.
Aside from Calibo, the Morales Artshoppe-sponsored Blue squad also had a share of the limelight after being judged as the best in uniform.
In the side events, Gidgeon Bughao and Bebot Sison won the 2-point shootout while Jun Pahamutang claimed the 3-point shootout title and Randy Go in the buzzer beater contest.
Cebu City Vice-mayor Michael Rama awarded all the winners.
On the other hand, Cebu City councilor Gerardo Carillo inducted the new sets of officers of CABA.
Inducted into office were Domingo Ando, Jr. as president, Vicente Villar Jr., vice-president (internal) and Antonio Piloton vice-president (external).
The rest of the officers were Virgo Dacayana (secretary), Archie Baba (treasurer), Roger Salili (auditor), Jimmy Ortiz and Marwin Abonitalla (PRO).
Action in the CABA Summer League will be taking place every Monday and Friday starting a 5pm.
