Uy snatches PAGCOR bowling diadem

Elaine Uy pulled the rug from under as she snatched the 1st PAGCOR Classic Open Bowling Tournament last Sunday at the SM City Bowling Center.
Uy, who had an 18-pin handicap, wiped out a total of 1,654 pins in eight game series to go home with a whooping P10,000 plus trophy.
Joe Garces clinched second place after toppling 1,589 pins followed by Johnny Dai with 10 pins behind scoring 1,579 pinfalls as they pocketed P8,000 and P6,000, respectively.
Fourth place went to Celis Viloria, who knocked down 1,575 pins while Nestor Longcanaya posted 1,558 pinfalls to receive P4,000 and P2,000, respectively.
On the other hand, the impressive performance of Joey Barbas and Villoria earned them the Bowler for the Month of January and February.
Barbas scorched the lanes in the entire eight-game with a blistering 254 pinfalls to end the game with a commanding 1,729 points.
Viloria, for her part, wound up to second place with 1,585 pinfalls while Art Dacumos and William Lao toppled 1,575 and 1,574 pin.
