Olis tops CEPCA chess tilt

Jun Olis bagged the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association Handicapping Chess Tournament at the Stella Maris Seafarers in Pier 4.

Olis accumulated 4.5 points after trouncing Dante Arguelles in the final round of the five-round Swiss System tournament.

Arguelles, on the other hand, finished second place after posting 4.0 points to share it with three others, however, he edged them with a higher tie-break points.

Mandy Baria salvaged third place with 4.0 points beating Mat Matuco, Maggi Dionson defeated Mike Banibane, Jr. to cop fourth place while Jonard Labadan landed fifth place when he subdued Joe Atillo.
