2004, 1999 go 2-0 in CECABA

Hannah's Cakes and Decors 2004 and Cebu Pacific Transport '99 blasted separate foes for their second straight win in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association's 8th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC gym.
Class 2004 drubbed JRJ Enterprises 2000, 67-58, while Class '99 spewed fire in the final half to demolish Techni-Ice 2001, 73-59.
Danel Hayag topscored with 14 points, while Eliot Emerson Uy and Christian Espada added 12 markers apiece as Class 2004 earned a share of the early lead with Class '99 on identical 2-0 win-loss slates.
Class 2004 opened a seven-point lead, 20-13, at the end of the first period and safely protected its lead until the closing seconds of the game.
Rodnie Ocarol fired 13 points for Class 2000, which crashed to its second consecutive defeat in as many starts.
In the other game, Ruben Yap, Jr. did a one-men wrecking crew, bombarding a season-high 30 points in Class '99's 14-point romp of Class 2001.
Class '99 trailed by five at halftime, 28-33, but Yap unloaded 15 points in a searing 21-10 run that pushed them ahead by six after three quarters, 49-43.
Class '99 went on to finish off Class 2001 using a decisive 24-16 run in the final canto.
Lawrence Lauron was the only other double digit scorer for Class '99 finishing with 10 points.
Eric Cabana had 18 points and Paul Martin Gabatan added 14, but their efforts went for naught as Class 2001 slipped to 1-2.
