Faelnar, PJ Yu sizzle in Quickflight race

Former motocross rider Gene Faelnar and PJ Yu, emerged as the best in their respective categories in the overall rankings of the inaugural Quickflight Downhill Classic Series.
Faelnar led the cast among riders with hardtail bikes to grab the overall championship in the experts division.
The 26-year-old Bawing Bocariza, on the other hand, kept his winning ways to clinch the novice rider award.
Lex Lopez was the fastest in the beginners class.
In the full suspension category, PJ Yu's victory in the final leg vaulted him to the championship in the experts bracket.
Giovanni Villaluz was the overall titlist in the novice division, while Makki Igot and Apen Samson topped in the beginners and executives class, respectively.
Faelnar added feathers to his cap with a runner-up trophy from the four-cross competition held recently.
Paul Narciso bagged the experts title in the said event over, while Michael Medina ended third.
In the beginners class, the top three winners were Kevin Paul Yu, Ian Tuburan and Bryan Botter.
