USC-BS survives Hoop it Up in ML Kwarta Padala caging

-
The University of San Carlos Boys School survived a spirited resistance by the Cebu Insitute of Technology-manned Hoop It Up to eke out a close 50-46 win in the aspirants division of the BAP-Visayas/MLSDF's ML Kwarta Padala Cup Inter-School Developmental Tournament yesterday at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit gym.

Today, action in the juniors category resumes at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym, with the USC Baby Warriors going up against Consolacion National High School Black Shama at 9:30 am, right after the Don Bosco Greywolves battle Hoop It Up at 8 am. In the main game at 11 am, the University of San Jose-Recoletos Baby Jaguars clash with the University of Southern Philippines (USP) Baby Panthers.

The Carolinians lost a 12-point lead after Jordan Isidro staged a daring run to pull Hoop It Up within three entering the final three-minute mark of the contest.

Brian Negapatan and Jouls Ferolino led USC-BS of coach Rolan Remedio with 10 points apiece.

Isidro and Kent Abejo topped the Marvin Felicis-mentored Hoop It Up with 13 and 11 points, respectively. (EBV)
