Team Cebu City junior netters Bernardine 'Niño' and Sally Mae Siso fashioned out lopsided victories to advance to the quarterfinals of the Malaysian International Open Junior Tennis Tournament in Penang City.
Standouts of the University of San Carlos, Niño and Sally May continued to proved their supremacy as they pulled an impressive twin kill in the boys and girls 12-under division.
The 12-year old Niño, who won the single and doubles titles in Selangor, started his demolition job at the expense of Mohdzaki Pau of Thailand with a blistering 6-0, 6-0 triumph before he eked out another 6-0, 6-0, whitewash over Malaysia's Edwin Lau.
Sally Mae, who had a first round bye being the top seed, duplicated his older brother's feat with an equally resounding victory as she cruised to a 6-0, 6-0, rout of Korea Karin Yoeh Sue and came up with the same lopsided win in her second match, trouncing Malaysia' Sharifah Syafeenaz.
Sally Mae will try to redeem herself in the girls 12-under singles category after she bowed out to compatriot Junic Guba of La Carlota City last week.
A total of 150 players are vying for the title in the boys 12-under alone while the 12 girls division attracted 264 netters from all over the world.
The Siso siblings are sponsored by Osaka Iridology, Dunlop, Boning Donio, Nick Pepito, and Thirsty Shakes and Juices.
