CFIC thanksgiving golfest tees off today

The two-day, 18-hole Thanksgiving and Recognition Golf Tournament of Club Filipino Incorporada de Cebu tees off today in Pulangyuta, Danao City.

A total of 90 members and dependents are seeing action in the event, which will use the full-handicap strokeplay format.

This tournament is another of the many endeavors of the club meant to promote closer ties among its members said tournament chairman and club director Ramon 'Boboy' Durano IV.

At stake will be trophies and prizes for the top finishers of classes A, B,C, and Dependents.

A Kia Picanto 1.1L sedan distributed b y Gateway Motors Corp. is at stake for a hole-in-one. Markane Goho, marketing director of Gateway Motors Corp., will personally turn over the key to the hot-selling compact car to the player, who will be the first to score an ace in the tournament.

The awards ceremony is set tomorrow at the CFIC clubhouse located at the 16th floor of the FGU-Ayala Life Building inside the Cebu Business Park.
