Dewfoam Powerlifting tilt today

Powerlifting may not be part of the 23rd Southeast Asian Games, but the country's powerlifters still get a chance to showcase their strength when the 8th Dewfoam Southern Philippines Powerlifting Championships unfolds today at the Robinson's Place-Cebu.
The event is open to all powerlifters based or born in Visayas-Mindanao region.
This Powerlifting Association of the Philippines, Incorporated-organized tilt is set to give the locals and the rest a chance to show off their skills with most of the events being staged in Manila.
Usually, the most outstanding lifters in the event will earn the right to challenge the best of Luzon in another competition.
Before proceeding to Manila, over a P100,000 worth of prizes are at stake in the Dewfoam action.
Medals and trophies will also be given away to the winners in the different weight categories and divisions.
The official weigh-in starts at 10:30 am.
Entry fee is pegged at P150 in the novice division and P200 in the open class.
Team membership, on the other hand, is P400 per gym or club.
Fitness clubs from Cebu, Bacolod, Ormoc, Bohol and in Mindanao are counted in to join the two-day contest wherein meet and even national records are expected to fall.
