Larimp crushes J&B to seize 30-above title

- Sona Mae V. Povadora -
Larimp Network Tech drubbed the tough-fighting J & B, 83-76, in come-from-behind fashion to grab the 30-above division title of the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA) basketball tournament at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

Larimp trailed by 10 points in the first quarter, 6-16, but swiftly found its range in the second canto to grab the driver's seat at halftime, 33-31.

Larimp maintained its strong defensive stance in the final half behind the trio of playing coach Lando Tabalin, Mark Gamallo and Ringo Balbuena to keep J & B at bay until the closing minutes of the game.

Tin Atillo and Tasy Vidal lead Larimp with 15 and 14 points, respectively, while Jerry Tindoy added 10 markers.

Keith Arellano had 30 points, while Michael Dumdum added 21 markers in a losing cause.

In an exhibition game, PPSA All-Stars clobbered visiting Rama Boys Barkada of Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama, 84-73.
