Mulato dominates adventure tourney

Team Mulato bested 11 others squads to rule the recently-concluded Sugbuanong Adven-Turista Adventure Race organized by the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) to highlight Cebu City's 2nd Mountain Festival.

Manned by Joey Monterola, Marjorie Semblante, Kate Vargas, and Bram Caballeros, Mulato finished the race with the best time of four hours and three minutes to claim the P10,000 champion's purse.

Spin-Nomad of Rico Valentin, Rodulfo Verdida, Lorhiz Echavez, and Niño Abarquez settled for the second place honores with the time of 4:04, while the Glenn Tantug, Charlie Berberio, Mary Ann Nelias, and Franz Baguio-powered Planeteers wound up third at 4:06.

Spin-Nomad pocketed P7,000, while the Planeteers took home P5,000.

T.W.O. of Nogie Biagan, Mylene Jarina, Ariel Genobiagon, and Maki Hernoso finished fourth at 4:08 and RJH of Niel Reyes, Gerrie Calinawan, Louie Villacin, and Trino Transmonte fifth at 4:26.

Rounding up the top 12 finishers are Bloodstone (5:11), V12/Trepador (5:18), City Hall (5:19), J.A.E. (5:37), Baklay/CMD (6:16) X-Adventure (6:51) and CDU Mounteract (6:51).
